NothingMag.TV had plenty of tricks and treats for fans at their Halloween NothingFest this Saturday October 19th, featuring 33 bands, food vendors, artist tables, horror-themed art installations, and lots of spooky costumes. With their eclectic lineup at Orange County’s Garden Grove Amphitheater, NothingFest included everything from psychobilly and surf rock acts like Tokyo Lucky Hole and 3LH to punk bands like Dmtina & The Bumps, B.I.G. F.U.N. and Shock Therapy to hip hop groups like Huey Briss and G Funk Supreme to hardcore bands like Rend, Dancing Tongues, Death Lens and Beach Bums and to more pop and art-rock outfits like girl-fronted Strawberry Army, Los Shadows, Eyedress and Cannons. With lots to check out at all three stages, including the Main, “Treehouse” and “Locker Room” stages, combined with a devil-may-care Gen Z demographic, it felt very much like the lunatics had taken over the asylum: the crowd meandering between sets, breaking into slam dancing and crowdsurfing at a moment’s notice. NothingFest provided a foray into new groups you probably hadn’t heard, with a whole swath of Instagram-ready art installations and DIY artist vendors in a perfectly sized space. Thanks to NothingMag.TV for this incredible festival and to all the people who put it together.
